Delete your Extraby account

This page is for the Extraby app (package com.byjanbooks.app) on Google Play and on the web.

How to delete in the app

1. Sign in to Extraby.
2. Open More → Settings (or your photo → Settings).
3. Scroll to Deactivate or delete.
4. Type DELETE and tap Delete account.

That wipes this login, money books you own, and the Firebase sign-in. Shared books you do not own stay with their owners.

How to request deletion by email

1. Email byjanbooks@gmail.com from the same address you use to sign in.
2. Use the subject line Extraby account deletion.
3. Tell us the email or Google account used in the app.

We will confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days.

What we delete

• Your sign-in profile (name, email).
• Money books you own, including entries, receipts, splits, notes, and team roles in those books.
• Push notification tokens for your devices.

What we may keep, and for how long

• Entries you added in someone else’s shared book stay in that book until the owner removes them. We do not wipe another person’s ledger when you leave.
• Backup or security logs may be kept up to 90 days, then removed.
• We keep records only if the law requires it (for example a tax or fraud investigation).
